Last Night’s Episode of The Walking Dead
I think the return of Merle was a little forced. Also, I gotta say, all the “next time on…” footage at the end of the show has entirely too much content. Spoilers out the ass. I mean, they even included Merle on the cover of magazines promoting the new season. There was absolutely no surprise. Maybe, if I had been surprised by it, it would have been a little more believable.
I don’t think I like the casting for Michonne. She seems to be acting speculative and pissed off instead of actually being speculative and pissed off. In the comic, Rick tells her she can’t bring her walkers into the prison, so she kills them on the spot. It’s WAY more dramatic. I just hope she ends up being as bad ass as she really should be. Right now, she’s just a watered down Daryl, maybe.
The lady playing Andrea cannot act.
Is there something going on with the tea?
The Governor was pretty cool. I liked basically all of his lines. I think my main beef with this season is that they’re moving through the storyline WAY too fast. They introduced the Governor in this episode, then they show that he’s just this nice benevolent leader who wants the best for his town, then they show that he’s actually just some sadistic guy who absolutely cannot be trusted and collects heads. Couldn’t they have put all that character development into at least 2 episodes?
Last season, they were not the farm for the ENTIRE season. There’s a lot more content that’s going to be happening at the prison and it seems like they’re going to try and fit it all into one season as well. What made Shane’s character work so well was showing his change over time. That’s what’s going to make this show work. I don’t know…. This was definitely one of my least favorite episodes, it may have well been in season 1.
Also, Rick should be in every single episode.
