Flushed From The Bathroom Of Your Heart - Johnny Cash
The Luckiest Guy on the Lower East Side- The Magnetic Fields
totes been listenin’ to this song on repeat forever
well, that sure as shit takes me back.
reverse racism? i think so.
i’m confused as to the reverse part?
I think that the idea that the menu might have been made by some white person and they are apparently racist for putting things like fried chicken on it. but then oh wait, it was a black guy who made the menu. It’s all okay now. That’s racist against white people. Reverse racism. (which is racism against a majority) Also, his original intention was to point out racist white people, whereas he just pointed out his own racism (however small it might be).
Well, the only two comments I can find that ?uestlove made about it are “Hmm HR?” and “i think i need a twitter break. i done started something. and now i must put out fire.” Basically, he never directly said “white people did this.” For all we know, the HR comment could have been accusing white people, or it could have almost been in jest. I think to claim reverse racism is pretty silly, because nothing about his claim is racist. By interjecting yourself as his target, you’re claming a black guy finds white people racist without him saying so, therefore making your reverse racism claim racist and bringing it into this third fold of racism, reverse-reverse-racism. If you can’t tell, I find this whole situation humorous. That being said, I do find it funny that you refer to soul food as “traditional african treats,” since it’s African American cuisine from the Southern United States… not Africa… now YOU’RE A QUADRUPLE RACIST, YOU JERK.
hahahahahha. racist is as racist does?
